After 28 years of being a stay-at-home...Hilarious!

After 28 years of being a stay-at-home homeschooling Mama (now with a dozen children), I am beginning to see a tiny view beyond the horizon of all-day-every-day-mommying.

I drove one of those BIG beautiful 15 passenger vans . . . for 22 years.

I have taught my children at home for 22 years . . . and still have 8 years to go with the youngest.

But, we "downsized" out of our BIG van last year . . . after we had 4 kids get married in 14 months. Now, we drive an almost-as-big Excursion, but I LOVE the heated leather seats, built-in dvd player, and every other bell and whistle that my big vans never had. :)

I have recently lost 25 pounds (with a lot left to lose) . . . and am seeing visions of cute little sundresses in my future.

My advice to you . . . treasure this time with your children at home . . . pour your life into being a wife and mommy . . . don't worry about the mini-van or the few extra pounds. After the kids are grown and gone, you will have a lot of years left for driving jeeps, going out with the girls, and wearing all of the cute little dresses that will fit in your closet. Today . . . just enjoy the life that the Lord has blessed you with.

Laurel
mama of 12 (ages 10, 11, 12, 13, 15, 19, 21, 23, 23, 25, 26 28)Laurelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17253303288242135440noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4712791224862826068.post-12650480532472514062012-05-13T18:30:51.947-07:002012-05-13T18:30:51.947-07:00This post made me LOL. Every pic of you I see you are wearing cute dresses. I don't even have a mini van, but I have those "where did I go in the mommy-ness" moments where I suddenly tried to take care of the buried deep down me a little better. Great job on this!!!Rachel Goodehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05145248276487668178noreply@blogger.com
